I can honestly say that I have never ever in my life been as sick as I have been the past couple days. I finally feel halfway decent and like myself today! It all started Sunday night around 8 pm. I got so sick to my stomach I threw up out of the car...had to pull over and throw up in the bushes...felt like I was back in my first trimester again! It was awful but I felt much better after that...if only i knew what the night had in store...lets just say that I became GREAT friends with Mr. Toilet and got about 2 hours of sleep. It got so bad that I couldn't even get comfortable in bed, every bone in my body was aching and stomach was cramping, and I was no longer JUST throwing up... without going into too much detail lets just say I was freaking out so I called my on-call nurse, twice. I went into my doctor Monday morning...bright and early 8 am and as I was explaining what happened I couldn't stop crying I just kept crying and crying I was so frustrated because I couldn't stop throwing up and couldn't even keep water down. I just wanted a whole gallon of water to drink, I never felt so thirsty before in my life! So they fit me into the schedule to see me that day (funny thing is I had a doctors appointment Tuesday, which they moved to Friday) but after they called me back and ran a couple tests, checked my urine, blood pressure and temperature they found that I was definitely getting to the point of dehydration and so they gave me medicine to help me keep nutrients down without having to start an IV. If the medicine didn't work I would have to come in and get an IV because obviously there is another human being in my stomach who likes to eat...BUT THANK GOD the medicine seems to be doing its job, taking it every 4 hours but if I miss the 4 hours by just a little I get sick...found that out the hard way. BUT good news: Baby's heartbeat was strong, so he is ok :) and I am feeling much MUCH better! AND i actually slept through the night last night! It was a crazy couple days and I felt like death but I am so glad that I am getting better and faster than I expected....knock on wood...We will see what the doctor says on Friday, hopefully everything will be back to normal. I haven't had to miss that much school, just one class Monday morning because I went to the doctor...unfortunately I had to miss work but it is ok, I need to get completely better and its easier to get better when you take the time to rest. The way things are going though I feel like I will be back into the full swing of things tomorrow. Jeremy was great through the whole thing, he did as much as he could to help make me comfortable which included going out late Sunday night for ginger ale and TUMS. What a sweet man :) Unfortunately he had class and basketball all day yesterday but I had friends take me to get my meds and food...we are blessed to have such caring people all around us!
& on a lighter note:
I am excited to get back to feeling better and we will be getting pregnancy pictures taken soon by Courtney Helton ( http://heltonphotovideo.com/home) she does amazing work so I am super excited to get them done! Don't worry I will be posting them everywhere :)
Classes have been pretty simple (so far just readings) going over the basics, syllabus, projects, etc. I will have one 10 hour practicum and all of my teachers are very willing to help work out whatever is needed for me to be able to turn in my projects and take tests prior to Baby Max coming and they are willing to work out things whenever he does make is arrival since it will be towards the end of March, right near the end of the semester. I am so thankful to be going to a University where the Professors are so understanding and wanting you to succeed no matter your situation. Thank goodness :)
